AND A VERY LOVELY CHRISTMAS DAY AT OUR HOUSE

RK, LDA, Phoebe, Scrappy, Ivy Belle, Frank and I had a leisurely morning of stockings, gifts and a yummy ham & eggs breakfast with egg nog, oj and lattes before we headed over to Rowley Shore for the big family Christmas dinner and festivities. We gave the pups wonderful colorful Xmas bulb dog toys from K9 Kuts that they adored! The kit kats didn't get any gifts this year other than their mani-pedi grooming day last Tuesday! We had a very book filled Christmas...complete with duplicates and triplicates! I shopped local for 99% of the gifts I gave out--Ned's Groceria, N Cassel, Sycamore Hollow, Lula's Pantry, The Paper Mermaid, Helen Parker Textiles, The Bookstore, Alexandra's Bread, John Tarr, Sage, and Stone Leaf have everything anyone could ever ask for! Check out the Again and Again Christmas stocking (white with Christmas tree) which I found at Alexandra's on Christmas Eve. It's an upcycled craft...made from recycled sails from Gloucester boats! The patchwork and lace stocking is one I bought at a gas station in Alabama millions of years ago while on a business trip. It too is handmade...by a local Alabama artisan. The fluffy red stocking with Santa and other appliques was a gift from my Santa Dad many years ago...it came from FAO Schwarz filled with little toys. The other red fluffy stockings are our stockings from the Kents. And the needlepoint stocking was a gift from Ruth to me during an Ojai trip almost twenty years ago! Each and every one of our Christmas decorations is complete with a history and memory!
