When I was a little girl in the sixties Auntie Ruth gave our family a handmade Christmas ornament every single year. She wasn't really our aunt. She was my mom's friend Ruth's aunt/my dear friend Anne's great-aunt. She was the first real crafter I ever knew. She could knit anything. She even knit when she drove! She was famous for her cookies and marzipan, and she made these elegant ornaments that have hung on our trees in NY, CA, MA ever since!! Check them out...the red velvet one with the pearls, the white one with the sparkly shapes, and the red/green satin one with pearls. Our vast collection of ornaments brings back so many memories.
